We make cozy games with room to breathe.

We’re a small independent game studio in Munich, Germany. We make games where you can take your time and enjoy seeing something come together.

We care about the small stuff.

A lot of our work goes into things you notice without really thinking about them: how something moves or sounds, and how it responds when you interact with it.

We spend time getting those small interactions right because they’re a big part of what makes a game feel good to play.

Behind Gingerbread Villain

Gingerbread Villain is currently a one-person studio run by Nikita Prianichnikov. I take care of the art, production, and code.

I’ve been making game prototypes and visual experiments for 15 years, alongside my work as a software developer. For most of that time, making games was something I did in my spare time.

After years of doing it in my spare time, I decided to take game development seriously. Making games has been a dream of mine since childhood, so I decided to give that dream a real chance.

I love cozy games myself. They’re what I often reach for after a long, demanding day, when I need to slow down and switch off for a while.
